From 7 knots, using our specialized light-wind gear (foil kites and single-strut kites), we guarantee amazing conditions to learn every step from Kite Control to Steady Pull with a feeling of safety and control. In these conditions, we use kites that steer more slowly, giving students the time to adjust their technique and providing instructors with the perfect setup for this level.
From 11 knots, while conditions remain perfect for beginners, the increased wind speed provides the ideal power to master board starts and riding. Experienced riders will also enjoy this range, as it offers the steady and reassuring conditions needed to try new maneuvers like riding toeside, jumping, or adding grabs.
From 15 knots, we switch to smaller, more reactive kites that provide a direct and sporty feeling. In these conditions, experienced kiters can easily stay upwind, allowing us to organize Kite Safaris to explore the beautiful islands of the lagoon together.

Why our wind is stronger than forecasts
Lo Stagnone is a protected natural lagoon near Trapani, 'The City of Winds'. The shallow waters (80-120cm) and thermal effects create ideal conditions for kitesurfing.
Forecasts don't take into account the thermal effect that happens on sunny days, which boosts the wind considerably.
2025 confirmed Lo Stagnone's reputation as a wind machine. We recorded an exceptional frequency of ridable days, particularly from late March through October. The thermal effect was incredibly reliable, providing steady afternoon breezes even on days when regional forecasts showed calm conditions. Our statistics show that over 92% of the season offered perfect conditions for at least one of our three levels, making it one of the most consistent years on record.
